Light floral aromas with notes of plums and berries balanced by savoury characters. The palate is juicy with ripe plums and black cherries, supple tannins and a slightly spicy finish.
The grape for this beautiful wine is the Nebbiolo grape, the same one that guarantees the beautiful Barolo wines. This Avamposti is not a Barolo, as the vineyard is not in the Barolo area. The vineyard is situated in Monferrato.
Araldica signs on with its vineyards Il Cascinone to produce this Nebbiolo. All harvesting at Il Cascinone is by hand. The Araldica winemaking team consists of Claudio Manera, Lella Burdese and Carlo Manera, They oversee the entire production.
