The Barbera is the classic red grape of Piemonte. It produces ripe,fruity, medium-bodied wines. This fine example is at its best at room temperature, or slightly chilled.
Light and juicy this is brimming with a ripe fruit sweetness including aromas of raspberries, plums and cherries while on the palate sour cherries and ripe raspberries mingle along with a hint of savoury spiciness. The soft, easy tannins and refreshing acidity give it a good balance all the way to the finish. This superb Piedmontese red is a spot-on example Barbera at its best.
